We have prepared a 2006 - 2016 Long Term Council / Community Plan as required by the Local Government Act 2002.  We have named our Plan the Central Hawke's Bay Community Plan.  It sets the direction for Central Hawke's Bay over the next ten years. 

Community plans provide a framework for implementation through specific time orientated objectives to guide the community, community groups, agencies and the Hastings District Council now and in the future.

Our Vision:

In partnership with the Council, the Flaxmere community has developed a plan to improve the social, cultural, environmental and economic well-being of Flaxmere.

Under the Local Government Act 2002 each Local Authority is required to undertake long-term planning with its community. The Hastings District Council's LTCCP 2006 - 2016 was adopted on 29 June 2006.

We recognise that we have a responsibility to our communities to provide active recreation opportunities as part of our commitment to community well-being.  This report reviews the Council’s role in active recreation over the last 10 years, and identifies the issues facing the District Council in achieving improved physical activity outcomes for its community.

Clive is one of the oldest settlements in Hawke's Bay and is full of history, culture and great people.

Whakatu is a unique village situated between the two cities of Hastings and Napier, and comprises residential, rural and industrial communities.  In February 2004, the residents of Whakatu requested a community plan be developed. Council has worked in partnership with the Whakatu Community Trust in consulting with the community to develop the Whakatu Community Plan

The LTCCP sets out what Council plans to do during the next 10 years. It is renewed every three years.

This document provides the results of the 2001 Census, and expands the content to incorporate information on the natural environment and the cultural assets of the District.  It has been developed for the public of Wairoa District to read and discuss, and to start thinking about actions we all can take to make our district a better place.

The Council has now adopted its Long-Term Council Community Plan (LTCCP) 2006-2016. Council has been consulting with the Wairoa Community to identify what they would like the district to look like in the future.

This plan is probably the most important document the Council produces, as it sets out key aims, objectives and priorities for the Far North, as the Council sees them, for the next ten years.

After undertaking consultation with the districts communities in March and April this year Council has prepared draft recreation plans that cover the Northern, Western and Eastern wards.

This report details the major components of the "District Outcomes Project" consultation.

The Plan proposes a strategic direction to help guide the Far North District Council in its support and use of available capital funds in the development recreation facilities over the next ten years and beyond.

Kaipara Districts Long Term Council Community Plan

The Local Government Act 2002 requires every district council to produce, once every three years, a Long Term Council Community Plan (or more simply, ‘Community Plan') which sets out what the council will do for at least the next ten years - the fi rst three in detail and the remaining seven years as an overview.

The community has identified ways in which this vision can be achieved.

Community planning is about the local community determining its future.  Emphasis has been placed on the community views, on its local points of difference and getting opportunities that will ensure the community remains an attractive and desirable place in which to live, work and play.
