"Community outcomes" are the big local priorities - things we feel are important to us in our City like good health, a place to live, a sense of community pride and safety, a clean environment, and a good income.

The aims of the Leisure and Recreation Plan include offering an abundance and diverse range of sport, recreation and leisure activities to the community; ensuring activities are easily accessed, affordable and available year round; encouraging participation in a way that increases overall well being; and assisting organisations involved in sport, leisure and recreation to progress in a common direction.

Imagine a city centre alive with people and activity. A place which people feel good about coming to for work, shopping or recreation. A place where it's easy to find your way around, whether you're on foot, in a car, or using public transport. A place which celebrates our landscape and cultures. A place for everyone.

The Community Outcomes describe the type of community that residents would like to have in Upper Hutt over the next 10 to 20 years.

The Long Term Council Community Plan (LTCCP) for Upper Hutt, upperhuttcity@2016, sets out the long term focus for the decisions and activities of the Upper Hutt City Council.

Why re-vitalise?  The town centre is the window through which the town reflects its culture, character and creativity.

Thames Coromandel District Council Long Term Council Community Plan 2006-16

Community outcomes are statements of what communities want to achieve now and in the future.  The facilitation of a process by the Thames-Coromandel District Council to identify a set of community outcomes' for the district, at least once every six years, is a requirement of the Local Government Act 2002.

Through the planning process communities will be able to identify and articulate desired future directions, as well as projects and initiatives to achieve those directions.  Monitoring and review, over time, will enable communities to track progress toward implementing and achieving their community plans.

The Matamata-Piako District Vision was created through an extensive process involving over 1000 people.

The LTCCP details Council's plans and objectives for the next 10 years, (2006 - 2016), which include plans for our traditional services along with any new proposals. 

This LTCCP contains the community outcomes adopted by all four councils in our region and how they were identified. It also shows how we will contribute to the achievement of those outcomes over the next 10 years. It sets out the ways in which we, Environment Southland, plan to work with the community, stakeholders, and other agencies to achieve the vision of Southland as having a world class environment and being a great place to live.

To maintain and improve the lifestyle we have in Southland, residents have identified, through the ‘Our Way Southland' project, the following as the outcomes they want for themselves, their families and their communities. The ‘Our Way Southland' report not only describes the seven community outcomes identified by Southlanders, it identifies the layers of intermediate outcomes and outputs that support them.

Welcome to Our Way - Invercargill, Invercargill City Council's first full Long Term Council Community Plan prepared under the Local Government Act 2002.  This is a requirement of the Local Government Act 2 002 on Council. We have tackled it in our own, unique, Invercargill way. (Hence the name we have given to this Plan - Our Way - Invercargill.)
