Counties-Manukau Sports Foundation (operating as Counties Manukau Sport) is a community organisation established to help improve the quality of sport and physical activity for all people in the Counties Manukau region.

The Cultural Minister Council, Australia, has approved the release of the Statistics Working Group cultural tourism guide Crafting Regional Growth.  The guide can be used by regional tourism managers to evaluate the impact of cultural tourism in local regions.  

This guide is presented in a workshop format and steps users and participants through techniques for gathering information to assess the economic value, tourism impact and benefit of cultural tourism in a destination.

The Creating Communities Kit has been developed by the Local Government Association of South Australia, Arts South Australia and Country Arts SA. The project undertook an audit of Local Government involvement in arts and cultural activities and prepared a draft policy for the LGA, guidelines for Councils to develop and maintain arts and cultural policy, policy story sheets and good practice story sheets.

Funding is available for community based arts activities for people living in the Invercargill area. In addition, grants and guarantees against loss are available.  The main criteria for this grant is that the project must increase community participation in the arts at a local level and/or increase the range and diversity of art available in the community.

The primary focus of the Creative Communities New Zealand scheme is to stimulate and support arts and cultural activity.

Funding is available for local community based arts activities in your area from the Creative Communities Scheme (CCS). The aim of the scheme is to increase participation in the arts at a local level, and increase the range and diversity of arts available to communities. The scheme is a partnership between CNZ and the 74 local authorities. Each local authority takes responsibility for delivering the Scheme in its area.

The Creative Communities Whakatane Scheme is aimed at increasing participation in the arts at the local level, and at increasing the range and diversity of arts available to communities.
This Fund is provided by Creative NZ and administered by the Whakatane District Council.

Creative New Zealand offers a range of contestable funding programmes for one off arts projects and professional arts organisations.

The aim of the scheme is to increase participation in the arts at a local level, and increase the range and diversity of arts available to communities.

The Creative Rotorua Site is dedicated to supporting arts and cultural development in the Rotorua District.

The purpose of this study was to develop a tool to facilitate the input and participation of iwi into land and water management processes and decision making. The result is the Cultural Health Index (CHI) for streams, developed by linking Western scientific methods and cultural knowledge about stream health.

The Cultural Indicators report establishes the indicators within a framework of five theme areas, which broadly reflect key goals for the New Zealand cultural sector and those involved in it. Currently not all the indicators have been populated, due to lack of data in some areas.  This will be rectified over time as data becomes available.

Cultural Indicators for New Zealand, 2009 is one report in a series produced by the Ministry for Culture and Heritage, as part of the Cultural Statistics Programme. The aim of the programme is to improve the range and quality of statistical information about the cultural sector - for the development of cultural policy by both central and local government, for monitoring the sector’s progress and performance, and for future planning.

Introduction

This research investigates the current levels of cultural businesses’ engagement with the tourism market, their marketing strategies and attitudes to that market.

The NSW Ministry for the Arts in consultation with the Department of Local Government: cultural planning guidelines intended to encourage sustainable, integrated and strategic planning at the local level.

These Toolkits were developed as 'how-to guides' to assist local governments, arts, cultural and heritage organizations with the processes of cultural planning and cultural mapping, and the development of public art projects and programs.  The Toolkits were produced by the Creative City Network of Canada in partnership with 2010 Legacies Now and the Department of Canadian Heritage.
