Auckland's CBD Into the Future strategy sets out the vision and principles to guide the transformation of the CBD into an internationally successful business and cultural centre.

Auckland City has a critical role in both providing open space and fostering community and recreational activity to strengthen communities. Council recognises that the provision of public land and buildings plays a vital role in the successful functioning of recreational and community groups. This policy will guide council's provision of leases to such groups.

As part of its role in the preservation, protection and conservation of valued features of the city's physical environment, the district plan identifies certain individual buildings, groups of buildings, objects and places as being significant and worthy of protection in the public interest.

Planning to make Napier a better city for cycling involves a partnership between the City Council and the community. Bike It! is your Council's commitment to providing for the safe and convenient movement of cyclists throughout the whole of the city, including Bay View and links to the Hastings District Council network, and is a Strategy that caters not only for experienced cyclists but also non-cyclists.

The 2006-16 Long-Term Plan is Council's primary long-term strategic planning document that describes how it wants Hamilton to develop over the next 10 years.

In 2002, the legislation guiding how councils work changed. One of the main changes requires councils to promote community well-being. To do this, councils must work with their communities to identify community outcomes and priorities. The Buller District Council undertook this process during 2005.

This document outlines the activities of the Buller District Council for the next ten years. The plan aims to show how these activities will assist the people of the Buller district meet their long term community goals and objectives.

Caroline Bay is one of the most valued and highly used open spaces in Timaru. The Timaru District Council has adopted a Management Plan for the Bay in principle; subject to the outcomes of a Development Plan process.

Why re-vitalise?  The town centre is the window through which the town reflects its culture, character and creativity.
