The Public Art Policy aims to ensure that public art continues to make our urban environment visually beautiful, and reflects both Wellington's heritage and contemporary cultural diversity.

We love street performance in Wellington. It adds colour and life to our city and encourages people to spend time in public places spreading the feeling of safety. Street performers are an important part of Wellington's identity as the Arts Capital of New Zealand.
