The Local Government Act 2002 requires every district council to produce, once every three years, a Long Term Council Community Plan (or more simply, ‘Community Plan') which sets out what the council will do for at least the next ten years - the fi rst three in detail and the remaining seven years as an overview.

Wider Moana Management Strategy

The wider Moana Management Strategy focuses on Lake Brunner and the adjoining areas.  Lake Brunner, or Kotuku-Whakaoho as it is known to Tangata whenua, is the largest lake on the West Coast, and represents an important resource for both the region and beyond.  The lake and its environs have a unique mix of significant natural, cultural, recreational values which combine to create a 'jewel in the crown' of the Grey District.
